As I get set to watch wimbledon matches online at watchtennisonline.net I cannot help but ruminate, [I’ve always wanted to be able to use that word. I’m finally old enough to do so.], on the undeniable fact that the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club Championship is rather special. That croquet part just kills me. I mean they stopped playing that at the club better than a hundred years ago.

I mean, I suppose an argument could be made that all of the tournaments on the pro circuit are special, in their own way, and it would be a sustainable argument. Each of those tournaments has a unique quality that has to be accounted for by the players. Each of those courts of combat has its own characteristics and its quirks and one court is not the same as the other. But those are all on-court individualities.

When I watch wimbledon matches online, I’ll be ruminating [now that I think about it, aren’t cows known as ruminants?], on the off-court quirks that make Wimbledon stand apart.

I could list them here, to bolster my thesis, but listing and ruminating don’t go together. if they did, cows would be accountants. So, you are going to have to do with my ruminations on the proposed topic of future ruminations, if you know what I mean.
